Demonstrating the Next Generation of Maritime Low-Altitude Logistics
June 2026 – ZIYAN Tech, in collaboration with Zhejiang Yida Low-Altitude Technology Co., Ltd., has successfully completed a long-range unmanned aerial resupply mission to a moving vessel using the Grey Whale G1 unmanned helicopter. The operation demonstrated the platform's capability to perform autonomous maritime logistics over open water, completing a 30 km round-trip mission while delivering a 10 kg payload with precision.

As global maritime operations demand faster, safer, and more efficient logistics, conventional ship-to-shore supply methods often face operational constraints, including vessel scheduling, waterway traffic, and adverse sea conditions.
During the demonstration, the Grey Whale G1 completed a 15 km over-water flight in just 15 minutes, autonomously approaching a vessel underway and delivering critical supplies via its intelligent winch system. The mission validated the aircraft's ability to conduct accurate, reliable resupply operations without requiring the vessel to alter its course or speed.
Compared with traditional marine logistics, autonomous aerial delivery significantly reduces response time while improving operational flexibility for routine resupply and emergency missions.
The mission was initiated through a dedicated digital maritime logistics platform, allowing the vessel's crew to submit a resupply request remotely.
After receiving the mission data, the Grey Whale G1 departed from its shore-based operating site and autonomously executed the entire flight. Equipped with a high-precision flight control and navigation system, the aircraft continuously tracked the vessel's position, speed, and heading, maintaining stable formation flight throughout the operation.
Upon arrival, the onboard intelligent winch system safely lowered the payload onto the moving vessel, completing the delivery with high accuracy while the ship remained underway.
Mission Highlights
15 minutes – Cross-sea delivery time
30 km – Round-trip flight distance
10 kg – Payload capacity
This successful mission represents another important milestone in the operational validation of the Grey Whale G1 for maritime logistics.
The platform has previously demonstrated its capabilities across multiple offshore scenarios, including autonomous deliveries to moving vessels and operations in challenging maritime environments with strong winds and complex sea states. These deployments have continuously verified the aircraft's reliability, flight stability, and autonomous mission capability under real-world operating conditions.
The latest demonstration further confirms the Grey Whale G1's long-range over-water performance, anti-interference capability, precision navigation, and dynamic delivery accuracy, providing a scalable solution for maritime logistics and emergency resupply.

ZIYAN Tech remains committed to advancing unmanned helicopter technologies and expanding practical applications for low-altitude aerial logistics.
By combining intelligent unmanned aircraft with digital mission management systems, ZIYAN continues to develop efficient, lightweight, and intelligent logistics solutions that support the digital transformation of the maritime industry.
Looking ahead, the company will continue working with industry partners to expand autonomous aerial logistics into broader maritime applications, delivering safer, faster, and more efficient operational capabilities for the global shipping sector.
